October has been another busy month for the Kirby & Knott team. Across September and October, Alex and Richard visited their old school haunt, Sir Thomas Rich’s to deliver a series of Financial Education sessions. This was followed by our highly anticipated presentation on the importance of obtaining good financial advice given the current climate regarding Brexit. Alex and Rich finished the month with a visit to Cheltenham Town FC to watch them play Macclesfield – a match sponsored by the Hollie Gazzard Trust.
Over the last 3 weeks, Alex and Richard delivered a series of Financial Education sessions to Year 12 students at Sir Thomas Rich's School via an interactive style presentation. Helping students understand the basics of money, debt and budgeting is so important to their future financial well-being and is part of our responsibility as a business.
The Financial Education sessions were later followed by Richard & Alex spending a morning helping prepare students of the school for the world of work, by delivering mock interviews.
Our highly anticipated Brexit and Beyond presentation followed by Brexit themed wine tasting session was a great success. We hosted 45 clients, friends and connections at Kingsholm, the home of Gloucester Rugby. It was a lovely evening, reminding us of how lucky we are to have built such a great community in our first year. A big thank you from us to the following:
- Nick Gazzard who gave us some great insight into the work of the Hollie Gazzard Trust
- Laithwaite’s Gloucester shop for their superb selection of wines
- Gloucester Rugby Club for looking after us
- All of our guests for a really enjoyable evening!
Last but by no means least, Alex and Richard spent an enjoyable evening with the team from the Hollie Gazzard Trust who were sponsoring Cheltenham Town Football Club match against Macclesfield. The evening included dinner, a Q&A with Nick Gazzard and seeing Cheltenham Town beat their visitors 3-0!
Congratulations Cheltenham Town FC!
