We're here to help!

At Kirby & Knott Financial Planning, we believe that supporting the community around us is an important part of our role as a local business.

Our support includes being local Corporate Ambassadors for the Hollie Gazzard Trust, running various fundraising events like golf days and quiz nights, as well as sponsoring a local grass roots football club.
Charity Golf Day 2023
On 7th September 2023, we hosted nearly 90 golfers for our annual golf day at Lilley Brook Golf Club. We were blown away at the generosity and support for this years event. With every hole kindly sponsored by local businesses, the halfway house sponsored by Redkite Solicitors, the welcome desk supported by Blue Sky Signs and the goody bags sponsored by One to One Recruitment, we knew we were off to a great start on our fundraising total!

Before teeing off, teams enjoyed bacon rolls and coffees as well as warm cookies supplied by Hilton Double Tree next door to the course. The teams basked in 30 degree heat and competed in individual and team challenges as well as closest to the pin and longest drive competitions. Following the golf, players enjoyed an amazing two course meal in the clubhouse whilst the raffle, prize draw and auction took place.

This years golf day raised an incredible £8,500 for the Hollie Gazzard Trust. We have been huge supporters of the Trust since we started our business and our recent Corporate Ambassador status reinforced our commitment. The money raised from the day will be invaluable for the work they do.

Nick Gazzard, CEO and founder said " Kirby and Knott delivered another fantastic golf day at Lilley Brook raising vital funds for the Trust. The Trust does not receive any grant funding so rely heavily on events like the golf day to raise funds that will allow us to continue the work that we undertake in schools, colleges and universities, to help young people become better citizens and make our communities more resilient to the present day challenges. We are very grateful to all the sponsors, golfers and staff at Kirby and Knott for their generosity."

Hollie Gazzard Trust

When Hollie Gazzard was horrifically murdered in Gloucester in February 2014, her family wanted something positive to come out of their tragic loss. Hollie’s passion for hairdressing led her parents, Nick and Mandy, alongside her sister, Chloe, to form the Trust in order to give opportunities to others that she had been fortunate to have. An application was made to the Charities Commission in April that same year and the Hollie Gazzard Trust, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), was created.

While Hollie’s family are still devastated by her untimely death, and unable to change the events of that fateful day, they hope that the funds raised through the Trust will help young people and those around them to spot the signs of unhealthy relationships, have the confidence and support to leave violent and abusive partners to create a better future and reach their full potential.

Having met Nick, we have been truly inspired by his strength and determination to make a difference to others.

Abbeymead Rovers Football Club

We are very proud to support such an amazing local club. Our business focuses on creating financial wellbeing to individuals and businesses, and this was a perfect opportunity to support a club that has a similar ethos.

Walking Football at Abbeymead Rovers is an important part of our community and its role in mental and physical well-being should not be underestimated. Having watched the teams in action, it’s great to see the social spirit that the club has developed, but don’t let that fool you, it is still very competitive!

We are looking forward to extending our sponsorship to the wider club by supporting Abbeymead Rovers Annual Football Tournament and Festival, as well as their annual presentation day.
